| 5/13/2011 | Reply to a Comment: If you live in the UK then the Browns Restaurant chain truly does them how they're meant to be (make sure it's a good bartender though!) The way it's made is a whole Lime cut into 6 slices, then muddled with two heaped tea spoons of white caster sugar. Put 12 mint leaves on top of that and press them with the muddler so the oils are released but the leaves aren't broken so you don't suck bits up the straw! Add a scoop of crushed ice and a double shot of rum of your choice (I like Bacardi personally!). Get a bar spoon and bring all the sugar and lime from the bottom upwards, and stir well for a minute. Add another scoop of crushed ice and top with soda! (relatively tall Inverness glass). |
