How the hell did Dan Gable not make this list?!?!?! Seriously, am I going to have to choke someone? Dan Gable is one of the all time greatest sports figures in history, let alone. First off, there is his highschool and college wrestling career, which everyone in Iowa knows about. Then, there is the fact that he is an Olympic Champion in wrestling that did what no one thought was humanly possible....he didn't give up a single point in any match on his way to the Gold Medal. THEN there is his coaching career. His record in dual meets was 355-21-5 which included 15 NCAA titles and 21 straight Big Ten titles. Find me another human alive with a sports career like this. Oh ya, and he is from Waterloo.
