Although I'm Catholic I have never given anything up for Lent. What items do people normally forgo for 40 days?

I tend to find that when it comes to lent its fairly soon after Christmas and that I worry about how much money I have removed from my Savings Account to pay for this extravagance called Christmas.

Everyone should give up facebook and myspace regardless of lent.  They are going to cause the apocalypse.
