Only downside: broke up way too soon. Can you imagine the music they would have made had they stayed together?

AIC has influenced countless number of bands that followed. Layne Staley is possibly the most underrated musical genius of his time. The pain that resonated from his voice allowed listeners to feel what he was feeling. His and Jerry Cantrell's lyrics were beautiful, yet scarring at the same time. I can still remember the way I felt the first time I heard this band, it was as if a light came on in my head that said, "This is what real music is, this is how it is supposed to sound."
Best Album: "Dirt" barely edges out "Jar of Flies"
Best Song: "Nutshell" (Unplugged)
